Recommended GPS Units for Running, Canoeing, Kayaking, Cross Country Skiing and Hiking
Ever go for a run and wish you knew how fast your were running, how far you've been, what percent grade the hill you're running up is? Or you go canoeing or kayaking and want to know how far you went? Well, now you can know! The Garmin Forerunner 205 and 305 GPS's units will tell you exactly! Strap it to your wrist, turn it on, let it acquire the satellite signals and go. You'll never have to go out in the car after you did a run to measure how far it was. These units can even be used for geocaching and basic navigation!
Garmin Forerunner 205
Garmin Forerunner 305
Garmin's original Forerunner series (101, 201, 301) is bulky and looses the signal fairly often. I would NOT recommend buying any of these no matter what the price drops to.
"On training for the TdF: I rode, and I rode, and I rode. I rode like I had never ridden, punishing my body up and down every hill I could find....I rode when no one else would ride, not even my teammates..." - Lance Armstrong
